Privacy policy

Data controller. 2J LAMBRE, SASU with share capital of €5,000, RCS Paris 837 878 925, registered office: 10 rue de Penthièvre, 75008 Paris, France. President: Jocelyn LAMBRE. Contact for any question about your data: contact@2jagency.com.

Email sign-up (bonus chapter and newsletter). If you sign up, we collect your email address (and the first name you give, if any) to send you a bonus chapter of Marianne Valciel’s books, then the newsletter about these books.
Legal basis: your consent. Sign-up uses double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and your address is only added after you click the link in it.
Unsubscribing: every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the contact address.
Retention: until you unsubscribe, and at most 3 years without any activity from you (no opens or clicks), after which the address is deleted.
Processor: sign-ups and mailings are handled by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), acting as a processor on behalf of 2J LAMBRE. Your data is never sold or rented.

Clients and quote requests. Businesses we contact as part of our B2B outreach are covered in the "B2B outreach" section below. This section concerns businesses that write to us, that order a service, or whose published request we answer (call for tenders, project or quote request published on a platform). It provides the information required by Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR and the UK GDPR.
Data processed and source: the name, job title and business contact details of the contact person; the business name, address, registration number and VAT number; the content of the request, of our exchanges and of the brief, and the files provided for the service; billing and payment data (amount, date, status). This data is provided by you, or comes from the request you published (contract notice, buyer profile, freelance platform).
Purposes and legal bases: answering your request and preparing a quote or bid: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Performing and delivering the service, handling revisions and complaints: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Invoicing, collecting payment and keeping accounts: compliance with our legal, accounting and tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
Payment: payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland) under its own privacy policy. 2J LAMBRE has no access to your card details and 2jagency.com never stores them.
Recipients: 2J LAMBRE; Stripe for payment; our email providers (see “Email”); the platform or public buyer concerned when the request was published there; our chartered accountant and the tax authorities for accounting and tax obligations. Your data is never sold or rented.
Retention: request or quote not followed by an order: 3 years from our last exchange. Contract data: for the duration of the contract, then 5 years (limitation period). Invoices and accounting records: 10 years (Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code). Files and access provided for the service: used only for that service; the client should remove any access on delivery.
Your rights: you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, as provided by the GDPR and the UK GDPR. To exercise them, write to contact@2jagency.com. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) and, if you are based in the United Kingdom, with the ICO (ico.org.uk).

2J Agency newsletter and partner offers

Purpose. If you sign up through one of our forms, we email you, depending on the boxes you ticked: (1) the 2J Agency newsletter (guides, news, tools); (2) offers from 2J Agency partners, in the categories you selected. These offers are sent by 2J Agency: your address is not shared with partners. 2J Agency may be paid by a partner if you take up an offer.

Frequency. No more than 2 newsletters a month and no more than 2 partner offers a month. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.

Legal basis. Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR / UK GDPR), given separately for each type of email through an unticked box, then confirmed by clicking the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). Without this confirmation, you are not subscribed.

Data processed. Your email address, your first name if you provide it, the categories you selected and proof of your consent: date, sign-up page, exact wording of the boxes ticked, and the date and IP address of confirmation recorded by our email provider.

Recipients. 2J Agency only. Emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), acting as our processor. Your data is never sold or rented and is not shared with partners.

Retention. Until you unsubscribe. If you do not open or click any email for 3 years, your data is deleted. After you unsubscribe, we only keep your address on a suppression list, so that we do not email you again, and the proof of consent for as long as needed to demonstrate it.

Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, for either type of email or both: click the unsubscribe link in any email or write to [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect emails sent before.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, by writing to [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the data protection authority of your country or, in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk).

B2B outreach (business contacts)

Who we are. The controller is 2J Agency — 2J LAMBRE SASU, RCS Paris — 10 rue de Penthièvre, 75008 Paris, France. Contact for any question about your data: [email protected]. You can also reply directly to the email you received from us.

Who this section is about. It applies to people working for companies outside France that we contact by email or through their website contact form, about a topic linked to their business (for example, choosing an invoicing tool ahead of e-invoicing rules). We do not contact consumers, and we do not send these messages to France.

What data we use and where it comes from. The company name, website, country, sector and approximate size; a generic business email address published by the company (such as info@) or its website contact form; where available, the name and job title of a director or partner. This data comes only from public professional sources: the company's own website and public company registers (for example Companies House in the UK, the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises in Belgium, the Swiss commercial register or the Companies Registration Office in Ireland). We do not buy or rent contact lists, and we do not use personal social media profiles.

Why we use it and on what legal basis. To send one individual, non-automated message presenting our service and, if you reply, to follow up on the conversation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and of the UK GDPR). We only write about a topic linked to your business, to an address or form you published, and every message tells you how to object.

Affiliate relationships. Some of the software providers we feature may pay us a commission if you sign up through our link. This is stated in each message. We do not pass your details to these providers.

Your right to object — at any time. You can object to our messages at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message, by replying "STOP", or by writing to [email protected]. We then stop all messages to you, within 5 working days at most. To make sure we never contact you again, we keep only a coded fingerprint of your email address and our internal reference, with no name or readable address, in a do-not-contact list.

How long we keep your data. Prospect data is deleted 12 months after it was collected if no business relationship has started. If you reply and we start working together, our general policy for clients applies (see "Clients and quote requests"). After an objection, your details are deleted and only the coded fingerprint described above is kept in the do-not-contact list, for 3 years from your objection.

Who receives your data. 2J Agency only. Emails are handled by our email providers: Google (Gmail, provided in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited) and Cloudflare (email routing for [email protected]). Our server is hosted by IONOS. Some of this data may be transferred to the United States, in particular to Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc., which are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension). We do not sell or rent your data.

Your other rights. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, under the GDPR and the UK GDPR. To exercise them, write to [email protected]. You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL in France (www.cnil.fr), with the data protection authority of your own country, or, if you are in the UK, with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Audience measurement. We use Umami, an analytics tool hosted on our own server. It sets no cookies and only produces aggregate statistics (page views, referrers, device type) that are not used to identify you. No data is sent to a third-party analytics service.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe and Payhip under their own privacy policies. 2jagency.com never stores card details.

Technical logs. Our host (IONOS) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) may temporarily process technical data, including IP address, time and requested resource, to keep the service secure and available.

Email. If you write to the contact address, the information you provide is used only to answer and follow up on your request.
Emails sent to contact@2jagency.com are routed by Cloudflare’s email routing service (Cloudflare, Inc.) to a Gmail mailbox, a service provided in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland). These messages may be transferred to the United States, in particular to Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC. Both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; Cloudflare also provides for the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses should that certification cease to apply.

Short video orders. The photos and videos you send us for an order are used only to edit your videos.

YouTube API Services. Our channel management tools (the 2J Agency Studio application) use the YouTube API Services to manage the YouTube channels operated by the publisher. By using these tools, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Data obtained through YouTube is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Permissions requested. youtube.upload (uploading videos), youtube.force-ssl (managing videos, the channel and comments) and yt-analytics.readonly (reading statistics).

Data read. Information about the YouTube channels operated by the publisher; the list of these channels’ videos, with their title, description and public statistics; comments and replies posted under these videos; YouTube Analytics statistics for these channels. No data from other channels is read through the API, and no searches are made.

Data sent. Video files, titles, descriptions, tags, visibility and scheduling settings, thumbnails, the channel description, and the comments and replies posted by these channels.

Storage and retention. This data is stored only on our own server, hosted by IONOS (hosting only). OAuth access tokens: one private file per channel, kept until the account holder revokes access. Comments read (text, author, date): kept for at most 30 days, then deleted. Aggregate statistics: kept for 24 months.

Sharing. This data is never sold or shared with third parties. Comments are processed automatically on our own server, to sort them and prepare replies, and are never sent to an external service.

Revoking access. The account holder can remove our tools’ access at any time from Google’s third-party apps with account access page (also available at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). For any question or deletion request, write to contact@2jagency.com.

Links to third-party platforms. Outbound links (book stores, Shopify, Google Play, etc.) lead to platforms with their own privacy policies, not covered by this page.

Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, erase and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@2jagency.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
